An untidy braid at the side of the head must be the hairstyle number one this spring. And so easy to do in a minute! Tease your hair slightly and then twist the braid loose to get an effortless look. At least that's how Ida taught us to do it, she made the hairstyle for our spring/summer '10 lookbook, and we love it!
Finally the weather let the new silver glitter Toms shoes out of the shoebox. Lovely! Toms shoes are the most comfortable shoes ever! The glitter ones are normal in size so choose the size you usually wear.
And don't forget that for every pair you buy a kid in a poor country get a pair as well. We don't know exactly if the kid also gets a glittery pair but we do hope so!
Creative invites from the worlds biggest houses. I would be very happy if one of these invites dropped down in my mail box. Have a look at www.wallpaper.com, where I found these. Get some inspiration for your next party!
"...wear your shorts rolled up at the hem with a slouchy T-shirt" says Vogue.
We say "al'righty!" Slowmotion's Softa Shorts might be the softest shorts on the market - made of 100% organic cotton and produced in Portugal under fair conditions. And they are already rolled up when delivered! How perfect.
I'm on my way to meet up with the guys at Zoovillage, to show them the Slowmotion autumn/winter '10 collection. Anyhow, right now we prefer to focus on the spring, go to www.zoovillage.com to shop the Slowmotion spring/summer collection!
Sweet friends Ebba von Sydow and Joanna Sundström have started a network called DO GOOD with a focus on charity. In January Slowmotion took part when they organized an auction to help raising money for cancer research. Different companies, including us, contributed with products which generated 53 000 Swedish kronor in the auction. So good! If you want, you could give your gift to fundraising here - or you could start your own project! Time to do some good!
People find all kind of stuff to blog about. To our happy surprise we found this lovely blog which is all about owls! We agree that owls are so cool and are really proud our panties found a site of theie own :)

It's fashionweek in Stockholm but I've been so busy not having the time to attend any show so far. But tonight I'm going to Berns to see Ida Sjöstedt and the Lovisa Burfitt show. I know Ida through my friend Cookie and her collections are always pretty as a fairy tale. And I really look forward to see the Burfitt show, as I started my career with an internship at Lovisa's :)
The Norway based finish designer Sami Rintala turned an old fishing boat into a fantastic spa boat. Instead of fish the belly includes a sauna, steam bath, relax areas and everything that comes with it. This is a place I would like to visit next time we have something to celebrate!

This week Swedish National Radio helps raising money to cure malaria. It's very easy to give your support as well, by sending a simple sms to 72999 you can give 50, 100 or 200 Swedish Kronor. If you text your favorite song they might play it on the radio. Of course this is just what Slowmotion did, wishing for Life In Slow Motion with David Gray :)

The Lunchbox Fund was founded in 2004 to address the needs of impoverished students at Meadowlands High School in Soweto, South Africa. The organization has since expanded to include two additional high schools in Soweto, and most recently Alexandra High School in Alexandra Township. The simple intervention of providing a free and healthy lunch, makes a substantial difference in the students ability to reach their potential.
Celeberties as Natalie Portman, Josh Hartnett, Kenye West among many others donate money to www.thelunchboxfund.org and so can you!
This PoGo polaroid camera is what I want for Christmas this year. I love this cure pink camera where you can print instant pictures to share with your friends. It's around 60 dollars and if you buy the pink one 10 dollars goes to breast cancer research. This is what we like at slowmotion.
By simply purchasing a pair of TOMS Shoes, you directly impact TOMS work in Ethiopia. Podoconiosis is a debilitating disease that plagues those who walk barefoot in silica-rich soil. Podo is 100% preventable just by wearing shoes! TOMS gives shoes to children in Ethiopia five days a week to prevent the spread of Podo.
We have them in a lot of colours - this is the perfect Christmas Gift!

Did you hear of ChariTea? This is a new ice tea of organically grown tea and fruits produced under good working conditions in South America. Buying it you support the farmers and the company LemonAid also donates part of the profit to good causes. And in addition to all this the bottles are so cool! Love!

I had no idea it was possible to grow peaches in one of the coldest parts in the world (Sweden). But these smooth miracles actually exists in my parents garden and they do taste all lovely. If that climate change brings anything good it must be those sweet peaches.
In the latest issue of British Vogue they declare their love for the owl. As you know we also love the bird and at Slowmotionshop you'll find it at tees, singlets, shoppers and necklaces. The tee you'll find in your size here.
“The fascinated tiger is one of the worlds most hunted animals. Their body parts are used in traditional medicine and their lovely fur is a valuable trophy. Hunting and an increase population is the first reason for the decreasing amount of tigers. Today there are only 3500 wild tigers left. If nothing drastic happens the last tiger may be gone forever”
we at slowmotion have adopted a tiger and we think everyone who has the possibility should help. Pls enter www.wwf.org for more information.

Last time I went to New York I had brunch as always at Pastis – this is the place people just can’t stop talking about because it is so good. Nice environment, fantastic food, good wine and a hot spot for celebrity hunting. This time I happened to sit next to two very cool twins with a last name starting with an o.

Wild Swans is one of the best books I have ever read. The story takes place in China where you follow three generations through their life history. This book is beautiful, exiting, interesting and best of all based on a true story so you learn something on your way.
Pick it up in any book store - it's been one of the worlds best selling books for a long time!

Johan Anäng from Gothenburg, Sweden, had a great job arranging soccer travels to Barcelona. Yet he was not fully satisfied, and in February this year he went to stay at a children’s home in a small fishing village, in Ecuador. Now he volunteers as a guardian of the orphans, working about four hours a day, 20 meters from a South American beach.
The house.
How come you wanted to volunteer?
- I wanted to save the world as everybody else! Well, I actually wanted to go travelling and to do something meaningful at the same time. So now I volunteer and I study Spanish - it’s like having a vacation meanwhile doing something good.
Some of the orphans.
If you don't have the possibility to go volunteering, you could always help through many of the organizations working with children's villages around the world. For instance, check out the Swedish alternative; SOS Barnbyar.

Every year around 7 000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in Sweden. This means that between 15 and 20 women fall ill every day; about 80 per cent of them are cured. Breast cancer accounts for around 30 per cent of all cancer in women, and is therefore the commonest form of cancer among women.
thanks to all of you who bought stuff during pink week, x slowmotion
